Northern Lands Meet Your Maker Interactive Dinner

Get Cooking is proud to be part of the Northern Lands Festival this year, celebrating Canadian wineries and craft breweries. In this special interactive dinner, Doreen Prei and Kathryn Joel will be preparing small plates to complement beer from Wood Buffalo Brewing and Alley Kat as well as wine from Liquidity and Two Sisters. Baking Bread with Prairie Mill's Owen Petervine

Join us for an afternoon of baking bread with the delightful Owen Petervine, proprietor of Edmonton's own Prairie Mill Bread. Owen will be introducing you to the world of sourdough bread starters with a take home sample of his own starter, and he'll send you home with all the knowledge you need to feed and use your starter on your own too in addition to teaching you to make bread, waffles, and panzanella.

This summer Get Cooking is moving it's kitchen from Kathryn's Riverbend home to a brand new commercial space at MacEwan University downtown. We expect to be open for business from mid-August and a brand new schedule of Fall classes and events will be online and available for booking by the end of July 2014.
