Indian Vegetarian with Aditya Raghavan and Kathryn Joel

Description:

Indian Culinary Expert and Consultant Aditya Raghavan will immerse you in Indian culture and cuisine as he cooks alongside Kathryn Joel in this exclusive Indian Vegetarian class. Aditya’s experience picking up tips, skills, and techniques from Indian housewives and farmers have contributed to his modern interpretation of food found in Indian villages. Connecting people not just with the cuisine, but the ethos of India, Aditya expertly breaks complex concepts down into simpler ideas, taking the time to share the alchemy of Indian cooking. For most people, just learning how to build a curry from scratch is a giant step in the direction of learning Indian food. A lot of time will also be spent on understanding the geography and food culture of India and why certain dishes taste the way they do.

This vegetarian class will feature pesarattu with coconut chutney and mulaga-podi and a fresh paneer snack; bharli vangi (stuffed baby eggplants cooked in a thick sauce), mooli (radish) paratha;  daal tadka; fried okra pachchadi (coconut oil-fried okra in yogurt); and for dessert, gajar ka halwa (carrot halwa).

Class Fee:  $139 per person, plus GST.  Your Fee Includes:  a 4-hour class, a full meal, matched wines, a recipe pack.
