SE Asian Flavour Fusion with Doreen Prei & Kathryn Joel


Fusion cooking blends dissimilar global flavours, techniques, and local ingredients, resulting in original and distinctive dishes. In this edition of our Flavour Fusion series, we'll be combining the flavours of Southeast Asia with modern European traditions and techniques. Chefs Doreen Prei and Kathryn Joel will teach you to fuse elements from different culinary traditions to create distinctly unique recipes. Our menu will start with Lemongrass Smoked Duck Pancakes, followed by Salmon with a Cucumber Corn Salad then Grilled Ribeye Steak with a Grain and Nettle Risotto. Then we'll end the evening with Green Tea Citrus Pots de Creme served with Grilled Bananas and a Blueberry & Vietnamese Coriander Salad.

Class Fee:  $139 per person, plus GST.  Your Fee Includes:  a 4-hour class, a full meal, matched wines, a recipe pack.

Please note that if you need to cancel your booking you must do so no less than 14 days prior to the date of your class in order to receive a full refund.

This summer Get Cooking is moving it's kitchen from Kathryn's Riverbend home to a brand new commercial space at MacEwan University downtown. We expect to be open for business from mid-August and a brand new schedule of Fall classes and events will be online and available for booking by the end of July 2014.
