On the Asian Grill. With Doreen Prei & Kathryn Joel

Description:

Join us for a night of Asian Grilling. Just back from our trip to Vietnam, we'll be teaching you two of our favourite discoveries: bun cha, a duo of grilled pork (meatballs and loin) served with fresh rice noodles, aromatic greens and a fragrant dipping sauce; and squid, marinated and grilled on a banana leaf then served with steamed rice. We'll also highlight the flavours of Korea with a look at Korean grilled shortribs as well as Japan with a selection of yakitori. For dessert we'll take some of our favourite Asian flavours and combine them in a refreshing grilled pineapple sorbet, served with a coconut milk reduction. Weather permitting, we'll be grilling and eating on our summer patio.

Class Fee: $139 per person, plus GST.  Your Fee Includes: a 4-hour class, a full meal with matched drinks, and a recipe pack to take home.

This class is not suitable for vegetarian diets, however gluten-free substitutions are available upon request.

Your space will not be approved unless you submit payment with your registration. See below for more details.

Please note that if you need to cancel your booking you must do so no less than 14 days prior to the date of your class in order to receive a full refund.

GET COOKING IS MOVING

This summer Get Cooking is moving it's kitchen from Kathryn's Riverbend home to a brand new commercial space at MacEwan University downtown. We expect to be open for business from mid-August and a brand new schedule of Fall classes and events will be online and available for booking by the end of July 2014.
